I am tremendously sad to see Darlene's obituary. We were the very best of friends at Alleman for the first two years before I tranferred. Although distance and time separated us, we contacted each other occasionally throughout the years. Whenever we did, it was as though there had been no time lapse, a sign of a true friend. I will always remember Darlene's companionship, sense of humor, truthfulness and integrity. I'm sorry her life was cut short, but she will long be remembered. I extend my sincere condolences to the family and friends she has left behind.

Shelly, Darlene always wanted to try to find you, this past year I looked on fb for you but did not find you. Just wanted you to know that.

Darlene, I am glad you are no longer hurting from the pain you were having and that you are now with your beloved pets, Joe Bucket, Scooby, Sadie, and Chance, just to name a few. We had a lot of fun all those years we were neighbors (maybe too much fun!) Thanks for teaching me to not be afraid of dogs. I am glad we spent your last birthday together and that we always stayed in touch.

Wow, this came as quite a shock!!! I worked with Dar (as I affectionately called her) back in the late 70s, and we were friends ever since. I'm glad that I got to see her five years ago. I was hoping to see her next year on a cross-country trip, so I was looking for her. Unfortunately, I found her obituary. Darlene was always a sweet (if not cynically so - lol) and generous person....I am truly going to miss her. My sincerest condolences to the family.
