Ruth N. Boyack, 89, of Eldridge, Iowa and formerly of Schofield, Wisconsin, died Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Kahl Home in Davenport, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Davenport.  Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge is assisting the family with arrangements. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Tuesday at the church.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau, Wisconsin where she will be buried next to her beloved Delbert who preceded her in death on November 6, 1980.

Ruth was born August 1, 1923 in Wausau, the daughter of Fred & Rose (Lambrecht) Kurth.  She was united in marriage to Delbert (Del) G. Boyack on July 22, 1946 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.

Ruth was a member of Holy Family for the last 13 years since she moved to Eldridge to live with her daughter.  Prior to that, she was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Rothschild, Wisconsin for over 50 years.  Her rosary was very important to her and she prayed it daily.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport, to benefit their new rosary garden.  She was an avid jigsaw puzzler and enjoyed word search puzzles.  She always looked forward to a day at the casino.

While she lived in Wisconsin she was on a bowling league, a member of a dart club and frequently played cards with her friends and relatives.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry & Brian Nauman of Eldridge; her step-granddaughter, Andrea Roelens of Davenport; her step-grandsons, Steven & Chad Boyack of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her step-great-grandchildren, Isabelle & Michael Roelens Jr.; her step-daughter-in-law, Loretta Boyack of Milwaukee; her brother and sister-in-law, Gene & Bea Kurth of Wausau; and her brother Lloyd Kurth of Goshen, New York

In addition to her husband, Del, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents.

To Ruthie''''s family:
I will always be grateful for the two years that Ruthie was in my life. We had great fun together playing cards and ribbing each other daily. She was such a big part of my life and I''''ll never forget her. I hope that, in some way, I made such a difference to her, too. My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this difficult time.

My condolences to Sherry, and everyone who knew Ruth. She was a friendly, outgoing lady who always made me feel welcome when I visited.
