In 1955, she married Albert D. Mart in Milo. She then worked at Iowa State University while helping her husband finish his degree. After Al completed his degree, the young family relocated to eastern Iowa. Patsy then studied and completed her degree in nursing while raising seven children. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, a volunteer at the DAV Thrift Store, attended the Community Bible Study Group, was a faithful blood donor, and a member of Ultimate Fitness where she had made many friendships. Patsy was a true matriarch and a mom to many. She adored her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She was always on the “go”, whether traveling across Iowa to visit family or running around town with her best friend, Rheta.
She is survived by her children, Kellene (Mark) Mart of Port Hadlock, Washington, Kae Mart of Ames, Iowa, Jeanne Mart of Fraser, Colorado, Mollie (Stephen) Willis of Iowa City, Eric (Christa) Mart of Davenport, and David (Karri) Mart of Bettendorf.
