Adam Gabriel Wood

Funeral services for Adam Gabriel Wood, 32, of Bettendorf, IA, will be 11:00 am on Saturday, September 6th, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bettendorf, IA. Family will greet friends before the services from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, September 6th, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bettendorf, IA. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion #26. 

Adam passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia, South Carolina.

Adam was born on March 29, 1993, in Davenport, IA, the son of Thomas and Claudia (Cooling) Wood. He graduated from Bettendorf High School in 2011. He then attended Western Illinois University where he received his Bachelor of Economics Degree, and then Northern Illinois University where he received his JD degree. He owned Wood Law Offices in Bettendorf and also in North and South Carolina. He was a member of the North Carolina, South Carolina and Iowa Bar Associations. Adam had a great sense of humor. He was very musical, excelling at piano and violin. Adam was an avid Pittsburg Penguins and Chicago Bulls fan. He served in the Army National Guard for six years where he was also active in performing military funeral rites for veterans.

Survivors include his parents, Thomas and Claudia Wood of Chicago, IL, brothers, Brennan Wood of Davenport, IA, Evan (Molly McEvily) Wood of Chicago, IL, four nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his rescue dog, Clyde.
