Andrea Lynn Redmond, 54, a resident of rural Long Grove, Iowa died on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at her home following a brief and brave battle with cancer.
A memorial mass to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church of Long Grove where she was a member. The family will greet friends from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established in Andrea’s name. Due to the Covid virus, masks are required and social distancing is expected for those wishing to attend. Chambers Funeral Home of Eldridge, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
Andrea was born in Davenport, Iowa on October 21, 1966, the daughter of Alan and Linda (Donoho) Spotts and was a graduate of Scott Community College. On May 16, 1987, she was united in marriage to Dennis D. Redmond in Long Grove.
She was employed as an AVP Enterprise System Analyst for the holding company of the Quad-City Bank & Trust where she had worked for 25 years.
Andrea was a devoted wife and mom and was a founder of the North Scott Lightening Softball Program.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Dennis; her daughter, Kelsey Redmond of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; her sons, Kyle (Kelsey) Redmond of Humboldt, Iowa and Zach Redmond of Long Grove. Kyle and Kelsey are expecting a new baby in May and Andrea looked forward with great joy to being a “Nana” to her new grandchild. Also surviving is her father, Alan Spotts of Long Grove; her sisters, Amy (Tim) Paulsen and Mindy Cuevas, all of Davenport, Iowa; her brother, Craig (Sheila) Spotts of Long Grove; and her mother-in-law, Vivian Redmond of Davenport.
Andrea was preceded in death by her mother, Linda; her father-in-law, Ernest Redmond; and her sisters-in-law, Marla Redmond and Julie Redmond.
