Funeral services for Ann Elizabeth Gerber, 91, of Davenport, will be 10:00 am on Friday, December 26, 2025, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Friday from 9:00 am to service time at the funeral home.

Ann passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at her home in Davenport.

Ann Elizabeth Denkhoff was born on October 1, 1934, in Dyersville, IA, the daughter of Theodore and Glady (Duffy) Denkhoff. She married James F. Gerber on June 2, 1955, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Bettendorf. She graduated from the Immaculate Conception Academy, Bettendorf and the American Institute of Commerce. She loved cats, knitting slippers for family and friends, watching hummingbirds and boats on the river from her living room. She was an avid reader of mysteries and enjoyed playing games on the computer. She especially loved all the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren throughout the years. Her smile and laughter will be missed by them all. She was a bus driver for North Scott School District from 1968 until retirement in 1998.

Survivors include her husband, James of Davenport, her children, Linda Gerber of Davenport, Donald Gerber of Long Grove, Barbara (Bill) Ganzer of Wheatland, grandchildren, April Buske of DeWitt, Ashley Deverwaere of Calamus, Jonathan Deverwaere of Davenport and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Theodore Denkhoff.
