Ashley Pelo

Visitation for Ashley Marie Pelo, 36, of Bettendorf, will be 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Monday, May 8, 2023, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. The family request casual dress.

Ashley passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at her home in Bettendorf due to a medical issue.

Ashley was born on June 22, 1986, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Daniel and Nancy (Schmidt) Pelo. She graduated from Bettendorf High School in 2004, where she was on the golf team all 4 years.  She was currently employed at HyVee and previously was parts manager at Wieblers Harley-Davidson. She attended Western Illinois University on a golf scholarship.

Ashley always loved beating her dad at a round of golf. She enjoyed walking her beloved dogs, Boss and Quina, down by the river. She enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July riding around on her patriotically decorated scooter with her sister Lindsay. She liked crosswords, crime shows, reading, puzzles, fishing, going to the Mississippi Valley Fair with her good friend, April Troncao and her Wednesday lunches with her mom. She was one of the top players to beat at Buzztime Trivia at Sports Fans Pizza, Bettendort.

Survivors include her parents, Daniel Pelo of Bettendorf, and Nancy Pelo of Davenport, sister, Lindsay Pelo of Bettendorf and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Sid and Arlene Pelo and maternal grandparents, Bob and Lillian Schmidt.
