Austin Wesley Snow, 31, of Long Grove, Iowa, affectionately known by family and friends as "The Snowman," unexpectedly passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026. His passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Austin's Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded in recognition of his faithful service to our country. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for future donations to charities that reflect Austin's generous spirit.

Austin was born on June 1, 1995, in Davenport, Iowa, to Hays and Kelly (Jasper) Snow. He graduated from Bettendorf High School with the Class of 2013 before answering a calling to serve his country.

In 2014, Austin enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving aboard the USS Princeton, a guided missile cruiser. During his years of service, he earned the respect of those around him through his dedication, integrity, and commitment. Following his honorable discharge in 2022, he received numerous commendations, including the Good Conduct Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy "E" Ribbon, Navy Pistol Sharpshooter Ribbon, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

On October 10, 2025, Austin married the love of his life, Emily A. Dutkiewicz, in Buffalo, New York. Together they began building a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams.

Austin dedicated the past 15 years to Overland Systems, where he worked as a Heavy Haul Truck Driver. He had a deep appreciation for hard work and was happiest around big trucks, heavy equipment, Harleys, and time spent on the water. Whether lending a helping hand, tackling a difficult project, or simply showing up when someone needed him, Austin was known for his generous heart and unwavering willingness to help others. His strong sense of patriotism and pride in serving his country were evident throughout his life.

Many also came to know Austin through his appearances and work on the popular YouTube channel Work For It, where his passion for the industry, genuine personality, and strong work ethic earned him the admiration of viewers and friends alike.

More than anything, Austin will be remembered for the kind of man he was. He lived with loyalty, generosity, and a servant's heart. His smile, sense of humor, and willingness to help anyone in need left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though his life was far too short, the impact he made will endure in the countless lives he touched.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Emily; his father and stepmother, Hays and Lynne Snow of Bettendorf; his mother, Kelly Jasper of Davenport; his sisters, Kylie (Corey) Gottschalk of Durant, Alivia Snow of Bettendorf, Kaylin (Derrick) Stabler of Sherrard, Illinois, and Ava Morehouse of Colona, Illinois; his brothers, Darick (Makayla) Derby of Bettendorf, Anthony (Emily) Ellis of Bellmont, Illinois, and Corbin Stotlar of Davenport; his grandparents, Karen and Brian Smith of Rockford, Illinois, Roselynn Moyers of Davenport, and Wanda Derby of Clinton, Iowa; his great-grandmother, Betty Eberhart of Davenport; his parents-in-law, Jennifer and Matthew Dutkiewicz of Orchard Park, New York; his nephews, Granger, Aiden, and Easton; along with many extended family members, and countless friends who will forever miss him.

Austin's memory will continue to live on in the stories shared, the lives he touched, and the example he set through his kindness, service, and love for others.
