Barbara Ann Cutkomp, 69, of Davenport, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6th at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7th at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Pleasant Valley, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Barbara was born on December 27, 1954 in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Cecil and Margaret (Long) Seibel. She graduated with the class of 1973 from Davenport West High School. On September 17, 1977 she married Glen E. Eaton II, but they were later divorced. On May 27, 1988 she married Harold W. Cutkomp in Davenport. Barbara dedicated her life to caring for countless children as a daycare provider, foster parent, mother to her seven children, and grandmother to her 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Barbara was also often considered a ‘second Mom’ to many of her children’s friends as they grew up, even into adulthood. Barbara enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques and researching the genealogy of her family. She loved animals, a good laugh, country music and ‘a little coffee with her creamer.’
Those left to honor her memory are her children, Harold Cutkomp Jr. of San Juan, Texas, Brandon (Dawn) Cutkomp of Palm Coast, Florida, Jennifer (Samuel) Foley of Davenport, Christopher (Krystal) Cutkomp of San Juan, Texas, Desiree Cutkomp of Davenport, and Glen Eaton III of Davenport; 18 grandchildren, Brandon (Brittney) Beaver, Matthew Seibel, Andrew Cutkomp, Alexander Cutkomp, Savannah Turcotte, Kayla Grude, Braydon Cutkomp, Benjamin Foley, Cameron Foley, Dane Foley, Cora Cutkomp, Ezekiel Cutkomp, Korynne Cutkomp, Seryanna Cutkomp, Elijah Payne, Josiah Payne, Princeton Cutkomp, and Alivia Eaton; two great-grandchildren, Kylo Garnette and Amira Beaver; her brothers, Larry (Gaylene) Seibel of Roy, Utah, Gary (Kathy) Seibel of Davenport, and Bryan (Robin) Seibel of Ft. Meade, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved Havanese dog, Roxy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her son, Michael Seibel; and brothers, Bruce and Raymond Seibel.
