Barbara Jean Moore

Funeral services for Barbara J. Moore, 92, of LeClaire, IA, will be 11:00 am on Saturday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, IA. Burial will follow at Jack’s Cemetery, LeClaire, IA. Family will greet friends on Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Barbara passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at MercyOne Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport, IA.

Barbara Shipley was born on December 25, 1932, in LeClaire, IA, the daughter of Virgil and Mildred (Boney) Shipley. She married Bert Moore on December 18, 1954, in LeClaire, IA. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1998. She worked at Collis Co, Clinton, IA for over 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles and quilting.

Survivors include her children, Bonnie (Robert) McCredy of LeClaire, IA, Terry Taque of LeClaire, IA, Penny (Bill) Liebbe of LeClaire, IA, many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great great-grandchildren and a brother, Ronnie Shipley of Ottawa, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sons, Roger Taque, Bert Moore Jr., daughters, Belinda Maxon, Connie Orman, brother, Bob Shipley and sister, Sandy Ackerman.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
