Benjamin Mark Mink

Memorial services for Benjamin Mark Mink, 84 of Eldridge, will be 11:30 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge. Inurnment will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 10:30 am to service time at the funeral home. Mark passed away on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026 at home.

Mark was born on January 11, 1942, in Davenport, IA, the son of Edgar and Mabel (McNatton) Mink. He married Sharon A. Stenger in 1972 in Rapids City, IL. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier for 27 years, retiring in 1997. He then worked as a bus driver for North Scott Schools. He served in the U.S. Army.

He enjoyed playing his guitar, music, woodworking, family, nature, reading, his faith and visiting his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon, his children, Cindy (Jim) Young, Traci (Stuart) Myers, Lisa (David) Martinolich, son, Stephen (Heather) Mink, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and sister, Virginia Ball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Vern Mink and James Mink, niece Jenny Ball, nephew Mike Ball and many other family and friends.
