Benton B. Mackenzie, 49, a resident of rural Eldridge, Iowa died on Monday, January 12, 2015 at his home following an extended illness.
Services will be private. Memorials may be made to the family. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born in Enid, Oklahoma on October 23, 1965, the son of Charles D. & Dorothy L. (Wright) Mackenzie. In 1992, he was united in marriage to Loretta L. Yearack in Arizona.
Those left to honor his memory include his beloved wife, Loretta; his son, Cody Mackenzie of Eldridge; his parents, Charles & Dorothy Mackenzie of Eldridge; his sisters, Marjorie Jesse, D.C. of Smyrna, Delaware and Becky Thurston of Pearland, Texas; and his brother, Jeffrey Mackenzie of Liberty, Missouri.
