Funeral services for Betty Joe Wright, 100 of Davenport, IA, will be 2:30 pm on Friday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will take place at Sunset View Cemetery, Penn Hills, PA. Family will greet friends on Friday from 1:30 pm to service time at the funeral home.

Betty Joe passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at The Good Samaritan Care Center, Davenport, IA.

Betty Joe Wagher was born on August 22, 1926, in Blackwell, OK, the daughter of Charles and Alice (VanEtten) Wagher. She married Joseph Egyed, and he later preceded her in death She then married Edward Wright on January 11, 1983. He preceded her in death. She was a member of Bettendorf Christian Church, Bettendorf, IA. She enjoyed playing Bingo, bowling and board games.

Survivors include her children, Shari Froeschle, Keith (Bonnie) Egyed, Kevin (Mary Francis) Egyed, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Joseph Steve Egyed, daughter, Amy Suzanne Miller, sisters, Evelyn Kennedy, Edith Wieland and brothers, Charles Wagher, Robert Wagher.
