Betty J. Hardesty, 81, a resident of Le Claire, Iowa died Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport, Iowa.
She will be laid to rest with her parents in Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, De Soto, Missouri at a later date.
Betty was born November 1, 1928 in Valley Mines, Missouri the daughter of Raymond L. and Maude (Mecey) Willett. She was united in marriage to Walter Reando Jr. on June 28, 1952 in Valley Mines, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 28, 2009.
Betty worked as a beautician and enjoyed fishing, camping and hobby crafts.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter Leslie J. (Charles) Mackin, McCausland, Iowa; her sons, John T. (Annette) Black, LeClaire, Iowa and Stephen (Susan) Reando, Davenport, Iowa; her ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and her special niece, Norma Jane Campbell, De Soto, Missouri.
Along with her husband she was preceded in death by her sister Frieda and her brothers John and James.
