Beverly Warner

Beverly N. Warner, 90, a resident of Senior Star in Davenport, Iowa and formerly of Pleasant Valley, Iowa died on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.

Family interment services will be at a later date at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church of Bettendorf where she was a devoted and long-time member.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born in Davenport on May 29, 1930, the daughter of Frank B. and Frances N. (Pottorff) Meyer.  On December 22, 1950, she was united in marriage to Robert H. Warner in Rock Island, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on November 14, 2002.

Bev was employed as a laundress for the Pleasant Valley School System for many years.  In addition, she served as sexton of Pleasant Valley Cemetery and was the Pleasant Valley Township Clerk for a number of years.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Deborah S. (Denny) Oltmann of Central City, Iowa; her sons, Edward F. (Sharon) Warner of Bettendorf and Robert W. (Judy) Warner of Chicago, Illinois; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Gail Lynn Warner and Jacqueline A. Dietsch; her sisters, Nancy Smith, Rebecca Jess and Diana DeLap; and her step-father, Chester S. Smith.
