Beverly J. Laabs, 68, a resident of Scottsdale, Arizona and formerly of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 23, 2008 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born September 23, 1939 in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Floyd & Velma (Hudson) Passman
Beverly was employed as an administrative assistant and secretary at the Rock Island Arsenal for many years, retiring in 2001. Recently, she was employed as a greeter at Fry’s Marketplace in Scottsdale.
She loved helping others and formerly did home health care on week-ends.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Brenda (Dennis) Pullen of Bettendorf; her son, Bradley (Wendy) Scott of Bettendorf; her grandchildren, Jason Scott, Joey Scott, Shawna Scott, Jesse Scott & Todd Scott; her sisters, Vicky and Shirley; and her brothers, Wayne and Greg.
Her son, Lenny Scott; her brother, Gerald Hudson; and her parents preceded Beverly in death
