Brian K. Gulick, 45, of Davenport, Iowa, died suddenly on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2013 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in McCausland Cemetery in McCausland, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family. There will be a luncheon following the burial at Boll’s Community Center in Princeton, Iowa from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Brian was born October 7, 1967 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Ron Gulick & Nila (Stickrod) Carnes. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Suiter on May 1, 1999 in Davenport.
Brian was a Professor at Scott Community College and a table games supervisor at Jumer’s Casino. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Dorothy; his daughter, Jessica; his son, Colin; his father and step-mother, Ron & Donna Gulick of Port Orange, Florida; his mother, Nila Carnes of Mount Vernon, Missouri; his step-sisters, Cathy (Phil) Vanover of West Burlington, Iowa and Julie (Dean) Taylor of Greensboro, North Carolina; his step-brother, Ronald (Joann) Carnes Jr. of Middletown, Iowa; his brother, Andy (Amy) Gulick, of Rock Ledge, Florida; several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Nannie Lerch of Davenport; and his father-in-law, Rusty Suiter of LeClaire, Iowa.
Brian was preceded in death by his brother, Brad Carnes; his step-father, Ronald Carnes; his mother-in-law, Gayle Suiter; and his grandmothers, Viola Stickrod and Janet Gulick.
