Bruce Bandy

Bruce L. Bandy, 68, of Davenport passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.  Memorials may be directed to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Bruce was born on July 19, 1953 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas the son of Robert and Sylvia (Fox) Bandy.  He was united in marriage to Donna Dohrmann on December 28, 1982 in Clinton, Iowa.  Prior to his retirement, Bruce worked in various departments at Nichols Homeshield for 40 years.  He enjoyed his home along the river, hunting, fishing, and tending to his worm garden.

Those left to honor his memory are his mother and step-father, Donald “Bobe” and Sylvia Lopez of Davenport; his children, Dale (Judy) Johnson Jr. of New Hampshire, Lisa (Ron) Neece of Wisconsin, Kimberly (Steve) Fadiga of Davenport, and Christine Jackson of Davenport; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and his faithful canine companion, Jack.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his wife, Donna, in 2020.
