Carolyn F. Gott, 82, of Davenport passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026 at home surrounded by her family.

      Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18th at Cross Point Baptist Church, Davenport. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Visiting Angels or Unity Point Hospice. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

      Carolyn was born on January 30, 1944 in New Providence, Iowa, the daughter of Murl and Helen (White) Daniel. Following her graduation from Centerville High School, she married Marvin L. Gott on June 30, 1962. Carolyn worked as an office administrator for Iowa American Water for 24 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed golfing, reading, attending Bible studies, and ballroom dancing with her husband. She attended Cross Point Baptist Church, Davenport.

      Those left to honor her memory are her daughters, Lisa (Milo) Neira of Danville, Iowa, Lorrie (Peter) Riverso of Broussard, Louisiana, and Leslie (Joe) Baker of Davenport; seven grandchildren, Nicholas (Tonya) Neira, Amanda Neira, Jordan Gott, Jose Baker, Joey Baker, Cristal Baker, and JoAnna Riverso; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Jessa, and Raya Neira; brother, Wayne “Gene” Daniel of Colorado; niece, Sandy (Rick) Smith of Missouri; and nephew, Wayne Daniel Jr. of Colorado.

      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, in 2025.
