Clara B. Seals

Clara B. Seals, 88, of Davenport, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024 at her residence.
   
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17th at Trinity Lutheran Church, Davenport.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.  Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to Friendly House, Davenport.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
   
Clara was born on November 16, 1935 in Wyaconda, Missouri, the daughter of Harley and Luceile (Speer) Heath.  On April 12, 1955, she married Harold A. Seals in Aledo, Illinois.  Clara achieved her degree in cosmetology and operated a salon out of her home for several years.  Prior to her retirement, she worked as a server and cook at St. Vincent Center in Davenport.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing Bingo, going camping, and taking long walks.  Above all, Clara was a devoted mom, grandma, and great-grandma.  She loved her family unconditionally and they were her greatest joy.
   
Those left to honor her memory are her children, Harold “Butch” (Bonnie) Seals Jr. of Orion, Illinois, Donald (Joanne) Seals of Davenport, Carl “Rob” (Lisa) Seals of Davenport, Kim Seals of Davenport; son-in-law, Michael Laschanzky of Rock Island; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Stromberger of Dallas, Texas.
   
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; daughter, Debbie Laschanzky; sister, Harlene (Kenny) Rosenbohm; and a brother in infancy, Larry Heath.
