Claude L. Mead

Claude L. Mead, 66, a resident of Montpelier, Iowa died on Thursday, November 17, 2005 at the home of his son in Alabama.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Buffalo, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born December 11, 1938 in Houston, Missouri, the son of Claude E. & Jessie (Farley) Mead. On July 20, 1957, he was united in marriage to Carleen L. Kaucher in Buffalo, Iowa.
Claude retired from the Ralston Purina Company in Davenport after a 25-year career.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Carleen; his daughters, Claudean Critten & her husband, Darrell of Montpelier, Cathryn Cornier and Christine Mead, both in Texas; his son, Charles L. Mead in Alabama; his grandchildren, Jeremie Critten and his wife, Tammy, Joshua Critten, Tevon, Trevon, James, Jacob, Ronnie, and Little Chuckie; his great-grandchildren, Hayley, Kaitlyn, and Isabelle; his step-mother, Lulu Mead in Texas; his half-sisters, Lou Anne Deuetter in Texas and Linda Shaymen in Illinois; and his half-brother, Dennis Mead, of Davenport.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents; his sister; and his half-brother, Harold Mead.
