Constance F. “Connie” Curlott, 86, of Davenport passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Bickford Cottage, Davenport.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29th at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be directed to the LeClaire Lions Club.
Connie was born on February 25, 1939 in Davenport, the daughter of Orville and Margaret (Nielsen) Hesse. On October 18, 1958, she married William Baumgarten in Davenport. She later married George Curlott Jr. in Sebring, Florida on October 11, 1986. Connie earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Southern Illinois University. She worked as a certified travel consultant and a professor of tourism management at Florida Community College in Jacksonville. She had a passion for traveling throughout the United States and abroad. Connie was an avid history book reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She also held various roles at the Buffalo Bill Museum and greatly enjoyed her years of service there.
Those left to honor her memory are her daughters, Susie (Greg) Bratcher of Riverdale and Roxie (Jeffrey) Gentry of McCausland; four grandchildren, Jason (Wendy) Bratcher, Jake (Jill) Bratcher, William Gentry, and LeAnn Gentry; five great-grandchildren, Jamy Hill, Adam Bratcher, Caiden Bratcher, Zachary Bratcher, and Evelyn Bratcher; brother, Dennis (Martha) Hesse of Arlington Heights, Illinois; and good friend, Bob Schiffke of LeClaire.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, William Baumgarten; and her husband, George Curlott Jr.
