David M. Bass Sr.

Memorial services for David M. Bass Sr., 69, of LeClaire, IA, will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, IA. Family will greet friends on Thursday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home.

David passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at his home in LeClaire, IA.

David was born on October 19, 1956, in Gary, Indiana, the son of Jack and Doris (Zimmerer) Bass. He graduated from Hobart High School in 1974. He married Lorraine (Lori) Cloose in Valpraiso, Indiana in 1980, they were later divorced. He then married Rose Trevino in LeClaire, Iowa in 1996 and were later divorced. He worked as a Sr. Estimator for Walbridge Construction, formerly, JM Foster. He attended Purdue University where he earned an associate degree in Business Administration.

He was a member of Jaycee’s and was on the board of Millwright Local #2158. He enjoyed collecting license plates, coins and model cars, and spending time with his family. He was a tree enthusiast, and a member of the Arbor Day Foundation.

Survivors include his children, Jamie (Scott)Stubblefield, Bradley Bass, David Bass Jr. his grandchildren, Madeline Stubblefield, Lillian Stubblefield, and Vivian Stubblefield, sister, Jaclyn Mentz and brothers, Roger Bass, Russell Bass and Danny Bass.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife Lorraine (Lori).
