David Blaszczyk

There will be a service to celebrate the life of David John Blaszczyk, 65, of Princeton, IA, on Saturday, September 27th, 2025 at BS General Store Folletts 2919 US-67, Iowa from 3 pm to 6pm.

David passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at his home with wife by his side in Princeton, IA after a battle with Cancer. He enjoyed visits from the grandkids.

David was born on March 2, 1960, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Thaddeus and Sylvestra (Pintkowski) Blaszczyk. He went on and got his GED later in life. He married Elizabeth Cruse on July 13, 2024, in Princeton, IA. He worked at Alcoa for 12 years, retiring in 2023.

He enjoyed being on the river with friends and going to his local watering hole BS General Store (Served by his Favorites Sue Missy Amanda Rhonda Ona and Lelia) where he loved talking with friends. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, sitting on the deck on evenings watching the river and watching storms. He loved making bets on the Nascar races and Football with his friend Curt Pedleton.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of Princeton, IA, his sister, Cindy (Ronald Vincent) Drapeau and cousins, Brenda Wallace and Danielle Washkuhn.

Step-daughter's Danielle {David} Cowger and Cheyenne {Chad} Lane and 7 step- grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved dog Mia.
