David was born on September 18, 1948, in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Robert and Molly (Shook) Williams. On May 10, 1969, he married the love of his life, Pamela S. Brooks, in Davenport, Iowa. Together they shared over 56 years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories.
In August of 1969, David enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country until his honorable discharge in May of 1971. Following his service, he built a long and dedicated career as a Journeyman Mainman and Apprentice Trainer with Mid-American Energy Company, retiring in 2014.
David found joy in the simple things of life. He took great pride in caring for his yard and treasured the home he and Pamela created together in rural Eldridge. Most of all, his greatest happiness came from time spent with his family—especially his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.
Those left to honor his memory include his beloved wife, Pamela; his daughter, Carrie (Michael) Piazza of Princeton, Iowa; his son, Andrew (Wendy) Williams of Blue Grass, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Piazza, Nora Piazza, Payton Williams, and Sawyer Williams. He is also survived by his brothers, Douglas (Kitty) Williams of Roswell, Georgia, Dean Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, and Darren Williams of Lost Nation, Iowa; along with his brother-in-law, Richard (Nancy) Cole of Kennesaw, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
