Deborah “Debbie”, Ann Johnson, 71, Le Claire, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Debbie was born on December 16, 1954, in Davenport, IA, daughter of George and Betty (Beeks) Rose.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Cremation rites will follow as per Debbie’s wishes.
Debbie was also an organ donor, which is a testament to her giving personality and wanting to pay it forward from donations she had received.
Debbie graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 1973 and was married to Patrick “Pat” Johnson March 22, 1975, in Moline, Illinois. They enjoyed spending time together fishing, gardening, and loving their dogs over the years, especially their labradors. She loved spoiling their yellow lab, Shelby, was always cooking or baking something for Pat.
Debbie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved and cared for them deeply. She was the best mom and grandma, always making sure they knew how much they were loved and how proud she was of them. One of her favorite things to do was laughing with her grandkids. Her gentle, quiet nature was known by everyone that met her. She always wanted to believe in the best of people.
Debbie leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Pat Johnson; her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Scot Bahns; her granddaughter and fiancé, Nataly Bahns and AJ Barry; her grandson, Shane Bahns; her brother, Craig (Elaine) Rose; her sister, Cathy (Jim) Bone; her brothers-in-law, Mike (Dana) Johnson, KC (Randi) Johnson; sister-in-law, Bridget (Mike) Frieden; along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Debbie in death were her parents George & Betty Rose; her parents-in-law, Charles & Jane Johnson, her brother, Steve Rose, her sister-in-law, Sue Waite, her brother-in-law, Tim Johnson, and nephews Scott Willers and Darin Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie’s memory may be made to the Iowa Donor Network or the Scott County Humane Society.
