Dennis Royle Croquart, 74, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa passed away at his home on Friday, September 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Honoring his request, he will be cremated.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

He was born in Salem, Indiana on May 11, 1951, the son of Harold and Helen (Hamilton) Croquart. Dennis was a 1969 graduate of Brownstown High School and a 1974 graduate of Ball State University, both in Indiana.

On September 25, 1982, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Brunt in Bettendorf.

Dennis owned an insurance agency for 27 years and most recently, was an independent insurance broker selling Medicare supplemental insurance. He had a strong sense of faith, hard work, generosity and integrity that carried through every chapter of his life.

His favorite pastimes included his passion for personal fitness and sharing his love of nature and all things outdoors with his wife, children and grandchildren. He found joy in cooking for his family, traveling with his wife and sitting on his deck, reminiscing about their adventures and enjoying many laughs.

Family was so important to him. He was so proud of his daughters and had never ending love and concern for their lives and well-being. The highlight of his life was being called Grandpa, and his best days were enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Geraldine; his daughters, Rachel Croquart of Nashville, Tennessee and Michelle “Missy” (Joshua) Jacobs of Fairview, Tennessee; his grandsons, Maddox, Mason and Maverick; his sister, Martha (Jim) Flickinger of Carmel, Indiana; his brother, Greg Croquart of Paris Crossing, Indiana; his brother-in-law, Damian Brunt of Bettendorf; his sister-in-law, Marilyn (Mike) Sheffield of Herkimer, New York; many nieces and nephews and very dear friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen and his brother, Tom Croquart.
