Donna J. Dudley

Donna J. Dudley, 72, of LeClaire, Iowa passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.

Donna was born on August 29, 1952 in Davenport, the daughter of Guy and Lillian (Lowery) Garrison. In 1970 she graduated from Pleasant Valley High School. Donna worked as a paraeducator for the Pleasant Valley School District, where she was affectionately known as the “in-school suspension lady.” She retired from the high school in 2016 after 25 years of service. Donna enjoyed growing her beautiful flower gardens, as well as traveling and spending time with her friends and family. Above all, she was a devoted and loving mom and grandma.

Those left to honor her memory are her mother, Lillian Garrison of Bettendorf; her two daughters, Carrie (Doug) Helmle of Davenport and Mollie (Robert) Lighthall of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and her two grandchildren, Evvy Helmle and Joshua Lighthall.

She was preceded in death by her father, Guy Garrison.
