Donna Louise Goldermann

Donna Louise Goldermann, 87, of Davenport, Iowa and formerly of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at MercyOne Genesis-East Campus in Davenport.

Her funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2025 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the services on Sunday at the funeral home. Private committal services will be held in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Central Church of Christ in Davenport.

Donna was born on January 10, 1938 in Fairfield, Iowa, the daughter of Fred “Pete” & Esther (Smith) Makepeace. She was united in marriage to Donald H. Goldermann on June 4, 1960 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Davenport. He preceded her in death on August 20, 2015. She had retired in 1986 after thirty-seven years of service with Northwestern Bell and AT&T.

Donna was a member of Central Church of Christ and was very devoted to God. She enjoyed crafts, family gatherings, cooking and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Honoring her memory are her son, Donald “Todd” (Brandy) Goldermann; her brother, Fred Makepeace of California; her grandchildren, Danielle (Zach) Smith, Abby Jo (Billy) Smith, Travis (Amanda) Reed, Nicole Reed of Texas and Chris Smith and John Smith, both of Missouri; her great-grandchildren, Maci Jo, Maverick Henry and Mason; her sons-in-law, Bill Reed and Mike Smith; and a special little girl, Stella Wolfe.

In addition to her husband, Donald, Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, Suzanne Reed and Jodi Smith; her granddaughter, Michelle; her brother, Jesse Makepeace; and her sister-in-law, Veronica Makepeace.
