Doris Curry

Memorial services for Doris J. Curry, 98, of Davenport, will take place at a future date. Doris Jaquet Curry peacefully passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at Clarissa Cook Home in Bettendorf IA. 

Doris Rosalee Jaquet Curry was born July 23, 1925, to Floyd Howard Jaquet and Elsie Bell Stodgel Jaquet in Williamsfield, Illinois. She married Norman Nyle Curry on December 22, 1946, he preceded her in death on January 10, 1997. 

She received a scholarship to Bradley University in Peoria Illinois and got a bachelor's degree in music education. Both Norman and Doris were proficient in music education. They bought McKay Music in Davenport Iowa in 1963.

Surviving Stanley Curry son (w. Colleen Wiese-Curry) Jeffrey Curry, son, Jane Ridenhower, daughter, Jayson Curry, grandson, Nicole Jacobson (h. Soren Jacobson) Naomi Puentes, great granddaughter, Jensen Tvedt, great grandson.

Preceding in death Floyd and Elsie Jaquet, parents; Wallace Jaquet, Max Jaquet, Eugene Jaquet, brothers; Norman Curry, husband, John Curry, son, Rachel Ridenhower, granddaughter.
