Dolores was born June 23, 1935 in Davenport, the daughter of Francis & Leona (Kahler) Feldpausch.  She was a 1953 graduate of Davenport High School.
Dolores was united in marriage to Edward E. DePooter on August 20, 1955.  He preceded her in death on January 30, 2021. Dolores and Ed had four children; Sheree, Steve, Karen and Lynn.  Dolores spent her early adult years working hard to raise the kids.  When she was not with them, she might have been busy working at Kirlin’s Hallmark or Brown’s Dental Lab.
Dolores had many hobbies.  She enjoyed bowling, riding bikes and spending time outdoors with a picnic lunch or a lawn chair.  She was an avid reader and was talented when it came to doing crafts.  She could sew, knit, and crochet, making many different items including baby blankets for the great-grandkids.  She also liked trying her luck at the local casinos.
Dolores was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for over sixty years.
Dolores will be remembered most for her unwavering love for her family.  She had many fond memories of family camping and fishing trips.  She regularly came to watch her four kids and eight grandkids at their school activities and sporting events.  She was affectionately known as Grandma “Dee” to her twelve great-grandchildren and had always enjoyed their visits.  Dolores was an all-around great lady: always kind, sweet, caring and extra thoughtful.  She will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her sisters, Janice (Roger) Bousselot of Byron, Georgia and Marilyn (Dave) Engler of Davenport; her children, Sheree Hand of Rock Island, Illinois, Steve (Lola) DePooter of Davenport, Karen (Rick) Schafer of Blue Grass, Iowa and Lynn (Gary) Francisco of Bettendorf; eight grandchildren, Ryan (Faith) Remley, Kelli (Seth) Ellis, Craig (Amber) Francisco, Paul DePooter, Jeff (Ali) Hand, Katelyn (Jay) Ratliff, Sarah (Ryan) Whalen and Amanda DePooter; and twelve great-grandchildren, Gabby and Ainsley Francisco, Addi and Ella Ratliff, Edward and Luke Remley, Avery and Nora Ellis, Aben and Adler Hand and Hudson and Kennedy Whalen; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her loving husband of sixty-five years, Ed; she was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Betty Bousselot; her brother, Harold Feldpausch; her sister-in-law, Verna Feldpausch; and her son-in-law, Milt Hand.
