Edward William Elliott II, 76, of Princeton, IA, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Harmony Utica Ridge, Davenport, IA surrounded by the love of his family. He will be remembered for his quick wit, generous spirit, and the laughter he brought to everyone around him.
He was born on December 23, 1949, in Brazil, IA, the son of Edward and Mabel (Fewell) Elliott.
Bill was known as the ultimate one-liner guy, there was never a dull moment too serious or too ordinary for one of his jokes. His humor was a gift that lifted others and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He spent much of his life doing what he loved most; fishing and being out on his boat, where he found peace and joy. Professionally, Bill dedicated many years to building houses, taking pride in the hard work of creating something lasting. Earlier in life, he owned the Standard Station in Princeton, Ia - a chapter he often considered the best time of his life, filled with memories and friendships he cherished. Finally ending his work career of 16 years at the Holiday Inn Express as maintenance technician.
Bill also had a reputation as the ultimate party host. His neighborhood gatherings were legendary, bringing people together with laughter, good times, and a strong sense of community.
Above all Bill will be remembered as a loving father, and family man whose presence filled every room with warmth and humor. His legacy lives on in his stories , laughter and love he shared so freely.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Survivors include his children, Cory Elliott of Geneseo, IL, Ashley Chockley (Kyle) of Princeton, IA, Joey (Lindsey) Elliott of Ankney, IA, two grandchildren; Laken (Kelley) and Montana, 6 great grandchildren; Jackson, Angela, Onyx, Cheyenne, sisters, Sharon (Jeff) Hanson of Sherrard, IL, Linda (Guy) Jones of Sanger, TX, and sister-in-law, Debbie Elliott of LeClaire, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Tyler Jo Elliott and brother, Darryl Elliott.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date
