Elise A. Radcliff, 83, a resident of LeClaire, Iowa died on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Trinity Pathway Hospice in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 12, 2007 at the New Life Community Church in LeClaire. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Princeton, Iowa. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born September 18, 1923 in Bellevue (Jackson County), Iowa to Jesse E. & Thelma (Snyder) Culver. Elsie married Doyle D. Radcliff on July 12, 1942 in Bellevue. There were together for sixty-one years at the time of his death on November 10, 2003.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed the Ladies Group at the church, her flower gardening, crocheting afghans, reading, family get-togethers and riding motorcycles with her husband, Doyle. Elsie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord & Savior many years ago.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter & son-in-law, Joyce & Don Shipley of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; her sons & daughters-in-law, David & Karen Radcliff of Davenport, Iowa, Everett & Marlene Radcliff and Steve & Darlene Radcliff, all of Princeton, Iowa and Gale & Olivia Radcliff of DeWitt, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; her sister, Eunice Jendrejack of Sacremento, California; and many nieces & nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Nola, Rhelda, Wanda and Sally; her half-sisters, Vivian Brown and Blanche Jerke; one half-brother, Bob Culver; and one great-granddaughter.
