Emma Goetz

Emma Sue Goetz, 74 a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Bettendorf Healthcare Center.

Private family services will be held at Davenport Memorial Park.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.

Emma was born August 23, 1946 in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Francis and Helen (Pouder) Sedgwick. She was united in marriage to David A. Goetz on August 29, 1969 in Moline, Illinois.

She was a very unique lady and enjoyed being a stay at home mom and grandmother. Two of her passions were bingo and bowling. She enjoyed fishing and boating with her husband, Dave.

Those left to honor her memory include children Keith Goetz of Huntsville, Alabama, Kevin (Marlo) Goetz of Puyallup, Washington, Dawn (Todd Hayek) Goetz of Surprise, Arizona, and Jay Goetz of Davenport; grandchildren Kristopher, Kenneth, Kirk, Gregory, Derek and Alex; great grandchildren, Landyn, Killian, Madison, Sydney, John, Meira and Thea; and her sister Dixie Kelly.

Emma Sue was preceded in death by her husband, David Goetz, brothers Harry and Tommy Sedgwick and her parents.
