Eric Heyl

Eric D. Heyl, 43, of Moline, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Viking Club, 1450 41st Street, Moline.

Eric was born March 19, 1976 in Iowa City, the son of Lloyd Leonard & Susan Heyl.  He had been employed variously as a machine operator, a chef at Bad Boyz Pizza, truck driver and most recently had worked for Miller Container.

Those left to honor Eric’s memory include his mother, Susan (Terry) Myers of Milan; his daughter, Holly Murphy of Rock Island; his son, Alex Heyl of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Kaya and Atlas; his sister, Kristy (Joe) Catlin of Moline; his brother, Terry (Amber) Heyl of Bettendorf; his grandmother, Pauline Heyl; and his nieces and nephews, Katrina, Kaylynn, Cole, Terry, Kade, Landen, Carter, Athena and Laylani.

Eric was preceded in death by his uncle, Jackie; his grandfather, Junior Heyl; and his cat, Joe.
