Evon Denise McNeal

Funeral services for Evon Denise McNeal, 54, of Davenport will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Evon McNeal, 54, of Davenport, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis Medical Center, Davenport.

Evon McNeal was born on November 8, 1971, in Davenport, the daughter of Bobby and Gaynelle (Bibbs) Warren. She married Samuel Hodges in 1995. She then married Steve McNeal in November of 2010 and were later divorced. She worked for P.A. Staffing in Racine, Wisconsin for 16 years. Evon enjoyed going to the Y.M.C.A. to workout and watching crime shows. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Mark (Erin Stanley) Richardsen of Davenport, Brandon (Rajanea Smith) Hodges of Wisconsin, her parents, both of Davenport, 10 grandchildren, brothers, Bobby Warren of Davenport, Bruce Bibbs of Davenport, Allan Craig of Wisconsin and Bruce Warren of Arkansas, grandma, Emma Smith, uncles, Johnny and James Walrup, both of Wisconsin, and a host of nieces and nephews.
