IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frederic A.
Mach
February 2, 1953 – March 1, 2026
Memorial Service
River of Life Church
Starts at 11:00 am (Central time)
Frederic A. Mach, 73, of Bettendorf passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026 at his residence.
Private family interment will be held at Summit Cemetery in Davenport, IA. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28th at 11am at River of Life Church (4855 Forest Grove, Bettendorf, IA).
Frederic was born on February 2, 1953 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Theodore and Ruth (Lawry) Mach. Fred grew up in Lake Orion, Mi which was a rural community at that time. On July 24, 1982, he married Karen J. Hoffman at Baker Memorial United Methodist Church in St. Charles, Illinois. Frederic worked as an independent contractor in computer assisted design and computer management at General Motors, Leveton Telcom, and the Rock Island Arsenal among other places.
Fred and Karen lived in Rochester, MI, Bainbridge Island, WA, Metamora, MI, and North Branch, MI before settling in Bettendorf, IA.
Fred met his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, as a young man and Fred's deep faith in Jesus strengthened him, and his family through difficult times. His generosity and servant's heart blessed many people. He will be missed by all but we rejoice that he is now in the presence of God lifting praises and worship to the King.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Karen Mach; his children, Christopher (Rie) Mach, Micah (Amanda) Mach, Matthew (fiancé, Sierra) Mach and Alanah (Ki) Lewis; grandchildren, Anastasia Yuki Mach, Ezrah Arthurs Mach, Elisha Timothy Mach, and one on the way, Anahlia Lore Lewis; and siblings, Patricia Trautman, Richard (Claudia) Mach, and Barry Mach.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Mach; and a brother-in-law, Donald Trautman.
