Gary M. Doescher

Gary Doescher, 72, of Bettendorf, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at his home in Bettendorf, IA. A private graveside service will take place in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton, IA, on Friday at 1:30.

Gary was born on October 27, 1953, in DeWitt, IA. His parents Marvin and Jean (Howson) Doescher.

He had 2 siblings Dave and Sandra. Gary loved sharing stories about growing up in DeWitt. Helping His parents at store front where they sold Fresh farm eggs and vegetables. Gary enjoyed making deliveries of feed to farms from the store. He Loved spending time at his Grandparents farm.

Gary graduated from DeWitt high school. He shared many stories of colorful antics he and his friends did back then. Gary was a hugh fan of loud music. When he became ill a favorite band BOA reach out to Him per request. He was full of surprise and joy with personal letters, CDs and trinkets from Ricki Lee.

Special friends Joe and Bernadette Kaney of Eldridge, IA. Took care of Gary these past 6 years. As He battled many health issues. Becoming part of the family. Joining holidays and special occasions. Meals where he took great pleasure in potatoes & ham gravy. He will be dearly missed

We would like to thank the many Dr's at Iowa city. Especially Dr. Odugbesi & vascular staff. DaVita Dialysis staff and his favorite nurse Rhea. So many others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Marvin Jr. and sister, Sandra Lass. His best friend Buddy the cat.
