Gary L. Hodges

Gary L. Hodges, 70, of Davenport passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family.
   
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1st at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the family.
   
Gary was born on June 26, 1953 in Mishawaka, Indiana, the son of Daniel and Patricia (Turner) Hodges.  Following high school, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  On March 15, 1980 he married Teresa Goldsberry in Davenport.  Gary worked as a natural gas mainman and utility locator at Iowa Illinois Gas & Electric.  He later worked as a truck driver and drafting supervisor.  He loved motorcycles, classic cars, and was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders and A.B.A.T.E. of Iowa.  Gary will be fondly remembered for his big heart and willingness to help anyone in need.
   
Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Teresa Hodges of Davenport; daughter, Ronda (Josh) Crissman of Amelia County, Virginia; sons, Elijah (Trish) Hodges of Davenport and Levi (Christie) Hodges of Davenport; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and sister, Dee Dee Frahm of Davenport.
   
He was preceded in death by his parents.
