Gene L. Bloom, 56, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, November 9, 2009 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery, Blue Grass, Iowa.
Gene was born March 23, 1953 in Moline, Illinois the son of Ralph L. and Virginia I. (Duffy) Bloom.
He enjoyed bingo, fishing, camping, country music, NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers.
Those left to honor his memory include his sisters, Janice McCoy, Davenport and Patricia (Larry) Aegerter, Glendale, Arizona; his nieces Michele McCoy, Davenport, Jeanette Carden, Lowmoor, Iowa, Christa Zapian, Davenport, Cathy Hatfield, Mystic, Iowa, Mettie Ruby and Jera Lynn Christensen, Arizona and Tatiana Miller, Davenport and his nephew, Larry Aegerter Jr., Arizona.
