George J. Schaub, Jr., 86, a resident of Bettendorf, died Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Iowa Masonic Health Facility in Bettendorf.
Per his wishes, there will be no services held at this time. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Born on November 29, 1930 in Moline, Illinois, George was the son of George J. Sr. and Rachel (Engeseth) Schaub. On September 4, 1954 in Moline, he married Inez M. Frank.
George worked as a mechanical engineer for Moline Heating and Construction for 35 years. He was a Past Master at Fraternal Lodge 221 and a 33rd Degree Mason at Davenport Scottish Rite. George enjoyed fishing and camping.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Inez; children, G. John (Catherine) Schaub III of Eldridge, Kathleen Palmer of Moline, and F. Leo (Anisa) Schaub of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tracy Goodknight; and a sister, Delores Mooney.
