Gladys L. Winrow, 74, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Manor Care Utica Ridge in Davenport, Iowa.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. She will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born in Davenport on September 27, 1940, the daughter of David & Evelyn (Stebbens) Crawford. On April 8, 1961, she was united in marriage to Richard H. Winrow at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Davenport.
Gladys was a devoted homemaker, wife, mom & grandma and always had a soft spot in heart for animals. She & Richard enjoyed their home in Arizona for some years and thought of their grandchildren as a special blessing in their life.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Richard; her sons, Jeff (Stacie) Winrow of Davenport and Scott Winrow of Lincoln, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Landon, Sarah, Amber, Anthony, Karyn, Brooke & Paige; her mother, Evelyn Crawford of Waconia, Minnesota; her sister, Jill (Orlan “Gus”) Grell of Chaska, Minnesota; her sister-in-law, Sharon Pellegrino (Bob Kasuba) of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania; and her beloved feline companions, “Tigger” and “Theresa.”
Gladys was preceded in death by her grandson, Chase; and her father, David Crawford.
