Funeral services for Harold Gordon Anderson (Andy), of Bettendorf, Iowa, will be at 10am Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Durant, IA. Family will greet friends on Friday from 4-6pm at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf.

Gordon was born on August 17, 1943, in Moline, IL, the son of Harold and Stella (Miller) Anderson. He was employed by Alcoa for 40 years where he held many positions, retiring from the Metallurgy Control Department in 2002. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed time with his family, traveling, bird watching, playing euchre, and rooting for the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs and Bears. He graduated from Durant High School in 1961.

Survivors include his daughter, Stacy (Jeff) West, Bettendorf; his sons, Richard (Anne) Anderson, Bettendorf, Dennis Anderson, Houston, TX and Steve (Laurie) Anderson, Homewood, IL; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Underwood, Davenport, Geraldine (Dave) Kingan, Moline, IL and Garna Anderson, Pittsburgh, PA; a brother Greg (Penny) Anderson of Prophetstown, IL; and special friend, Judy Linville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
