Greig N. Carlin, 64, of LeClaire passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025 at his home.

A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8th at the Boll's Community Center, 428 River Dr., Princeton, Iowa. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Greig was born on September 30, 1961 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Greig M. and Paula A. (Boege) Carlin. In 1979, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served until 1985. Greig worked as a plasterer for Banks Plastering & Drywall, and most recently for RB Plastering. He never met a stranger and enjoyed spending his days driving around and visiting people.

Those left to honor his memory are his companion, Kristine “Krissy” Trujillo of LeClaire; his close friends, Tony and Jo Phares of LeClaire, Dennis and Stacy Stearman of LeClaire, Kevin and Danna Hartz of LeClaire, Mark Hall of LeClaire, Curt and Nikki Bell of Princeton, Iowa, Steve Stize of LeClaire; his mother, Paula (Kenneth) Hauer of Ft. Meyers, Florida; half-brother, Jason Hauer of Lake Forest, Illinois; his uncle, John Carlin of DeWitt, Iowa; his aunt, Jeanette Mahoney of Colorado; and nieces, Nicole Jones of Rhode Island, Lauren and Alison Hauer of Lake Forest.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Douglas Carlin; and a half-brother, Paul Carlin.
