Greig N. Carlin, 64, of LeClaire, Iowa, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025 at his home.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Boll's Community Center, 428 River Drive in Princeton, Iowa. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
Greig was born on September 30, 1961 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Greig M. and Paula A. (Boege) Carlin. In 1979, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served until 1985. Greig worked as a plasterer for Banks Plastering & Drywall, and most recently for RB Plastering. He never met a stranger and enjoyed spending his days driving around and visiting people.
Those left to honor his memory are his companion, Kristine “Krissy” Trujillo of LeClaire; his close friends, Tony and Jo Phares of LeClaire, Dennis and Stacy Stearman of LeClaire, Kevin and Danna Hartz of LeClaire, Mark Hall of LeClaire, Curt and Nikki Bell of Princeton, Iowa and Steve Seitz of LeClaire; his mother, Paula (Kenneth) Hauer of Ft. Meyers, Florida; his half-brother, Jason Hauer of Lake Forest, Illinois; his uncle, John Carlin of DeWitt, Iowa; his aunt, Jeanette Mahoney of Colorado; and nieces, Nicole Jones of Rhode Island and Lauren and Alison Hauer of Lake Forest.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Douglas Carlin; and a half-brother, Paul Carlin.
