Harold E. Zaehringer, 66, of Bettendorf, died Thursday, March 9, 2017 at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2017 at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the service should meet at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf by 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
Harold was born May 16, 1950 in Moline, the son of Vincent L. & Anna L. (Sims) Zaehringer. Harold served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a retired carpenter and a member of Carpenters Local 4. He enjoyed the carpentry work he performed, assisting in construction on many buildings in the area and he also enjoyed Corvettes.
Those left to honor his memory include his son, Brenton of Bettendorf; his daughter, Aimee Brown of South Carolina; his sisters, Sue (Doug) Zaehringer Sodeman and Terry (Tony) Campagna; and his brothers, Allen (Andrea) Zaehringer and Bob Zaehringer.
