Jack C. Boley, 94, of Davenport passed away at home on Sunday, September 13, 2026 surrounded by his family.

      Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22nd at Risen Christ Lutheran Church, Davenport. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf and Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire. Memorials may be directed to Risen Christ Lutheran Church.

      Jack was born on November 26, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Lee and Ermine (Brightwell) Boley. On June 19, 1949 he married Lillian Piper in Des Moines. She preceded him in death in 2003. He later married Marlene Lewis on January 15, 2005 in Davenport. She preceded him in death in 2015. Prior to his retirement in 1996, Jack worked as a truck driver for Jacobsen Transportation Co. in Des Moines. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, various card clubs, and a long-time member of Risen Christ Lutheran Church, where he served as an Elder. Jack enjoyed reading, square dancing, and watching Westerns. He had a love of fishing and going on fishing trips with his family and friends.

      Those left to honor his memory are his children, Karen (Bill) Faris of Davenport and Stuart (Krystal) Boley of Des Moines; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Jim Boucher of Altoona, Iowa; brother, Fred (Mary) Boley of LeClaire; very special friends the Ya-Ya Sisters, LeAnne, Loni, Becky, Judy, and Deb (deceased); and his fishing buddies, Thomas, Al, Mark, his son Stuart, and Duane (deceased).

      In addition to his parents and wives, Lillian and Marlene, he was preceded in death by daughters, Erma Hill and Ardyth Boucher; brother, Stuart Boley; and grandson, Kenneth Boley.
