A Celebration of Life for Jaime Lynn Schelhaas and Jaime and Joel's son, Alexzander D. “Zander” Zank, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Hope Church, 5019 Hopewell Avenue in Bettendorf, Iowa. The family extends an invitation to all to join them following the service at the Tanglewood Hills Pavillion, 4250 Middle Road in Bettendorf for a time of fellowship and refreshments. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of Daniel Schelhaas.
Jaime passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025 following an automobile accident in Bettendorf. Zander passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa from injuries sustained in the same accident that claimed his mother’s life.
Jaime, a resident of LeClaire, Iowa, was born in Brookings, South Dakota on February 14, 1982, the daughter of Ronald Schelhaas and Lynetta Brouwer. She graduated from high school and later earned her Associate of Arts Degree from Minnesota West Community and Technical College in 2006.
She was employed as a facilitator for Bohl’s Machine Shop in Milan, Illinois where she served as the “go-to” person for many of the shop’s day-to-day operations.
Her beloved family was the joy of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Jaime was a nature lover who enjoyed long walks, wildlife and being outdoors. She was also an avid sports fan, had a wonderful sense of humor and loved attending garage sales whenever she could.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Joel Zank; her sons, Daniel Schelhaas, Bryce Schelhaas and Caleb Marquardt, all of LeClaire; her mother, Lynetta Brouwer of Dodge Center, Minnesota; her father and stepmother, Ronald and Frannie Schelhaas of Bettendorf; her brothers, Gregory (Kristyn) Schelhaas of Nampa, Idaho and Rick (Jenna) Schelhaas of LeClaire; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Jaime and Zander will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved them.
