James Lindle

June 13, 1970 — February 16, 2023

James Joseph Lindle was born to Joyce and Gary Lindle on June 13, 1970 in Davenport, Iowa.  He was self-proclaimed as her absolute favorite child.  He passed away on February 13, 2023.  Jimmy graduated from North Scott High in 1989 and went on to become a licensed plumber, owning his own company, Lindle Plumbing, that served all of the Quad Cities for almost 3 decades.

He married his high school sweetheart and “love of his life”, Tina Hutson, on September 2, 1995.  He truly admired his father-in-law, Joseph Hutson and mother-in-law, Leatha Hutson, both of Donahue, Iowa.  Jimmy and Tina were the proud parents of Josie and Jevin.  They inherited his athleticism, good looks, cooking skills, drive and determination.  The 3 of them developed their own “J Club” which Tina was not allowed to be part of.

Jimmy is survived by his parents; 10 siblings, Dale, Jeff, Joanne, Kathy, Cindy, Lisa, Mark, Carolyn, Angela and Kristie; his wife, children and a plethora of in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews located all over the world, including his goddaughters, Kelsey and Kaeli.  He enjoyed spending time at his self-built pond at "Hutson Oaks", coaching his son's teams, golfing, running on the beach, (concrete was sufficient, too) good music, watching his daughter dance, cooking, volleyball, dominating his son at basketball, watching the Chiefs win, snoring loudly and helping others without being prompted.  Most often, he helped people anonymously.  Some might say he was a bit competitive.  But, they are wrong.  He was VERY competitive, even as a young toddler.

He adored his children more than anything in this world and dreamed of having grandchildren someday.  He wanted to retire in Florida, on the beach, where he could run and run, along the shoreline.

He will be remembered by all of us for his ability to make us laugh, never giving up without a fight, loving to win and putting his all into everything he did.  He took a lot of pride in his wife & children, Josie and Jevin.  We intend to honor his legacy and one-of-a-kind spirit in all that we do.  He would want us to keep on living our life to the fullest and enjoy a good pina colada as the sun set.  Or better yet, watching the sunrise with a drink in hand and running barefoot in the sand.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Long Grove, Iowa.  Visitation will be on Monday evening from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church.  Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the Family of James Lindle.
