Jarrod was born March 25, 1976, in Davenport, the son of Jeffrey and Becky (Ballard) Conger.  He was united in marriage to Nicole “Nicky” DePardo on July 16, 1997, in Davenport.  Jarrod worked as a field supervisor for Environmental Management Services in Davenport for over 25 years.  He cherished time with his family and his numerous friends.  Jarrod was always ready for his wife’s next adventure, including paranormal investigations.  He loved running away from the spirits the most!  Jarrod had a great appreciation for God’s beauty in nature, especially while visiting his favorite places of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.  He and Nicky enjoyed visiting there at least once a year.  Playing softball, watching professional wrestling events, and traveling with family were among his favorite pastimes.  Jarrod enjoyed attending sporting events and supporting his children’s activities at Davenport North High School.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.

Jarrod was an active member of Berean Baptist Church, served as past president of the F.O.E. Davenport #235 and on the board of Davenport City Cemetery.  He also volunteered for the annual Bix race, handing out water and encouragement to the participants.
