Jay A. Aiello, 69, of Davenport passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21st at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be on Monday, March 23rd at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Those attending are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:00 a.m. to join the procession to the cemetery.
Jay was born on September 22, 1956 in Davenport, the son of Tom and Stella (Hill) Aiello. He graduated from Davenport West High School in 1975. Jay worked with his father as a truck driver for the family business, Aiello & Sons Trucking Company. He later worked for Florilli Trucking Company until his retirement in 1997. Jay loved to play Bingo and enjoyed going to the casinos. He will be fondly remembered as a wonderful son, brother, dad, grandpa, and friend.
Those left to honor his memory are his brother, Scott (Bob Wiebenga) Aiello of Rock Island; daughter, Jaymie Sanders of Davenport; granddaughters, Matisyn and Olivia Munn; nephews, Matthew Coons of Geneseo, Illinois and Dustin Aiello-Coons of Moline; nieces, Desirae (Chris) Martinez of Massachusetts and Brandy Aiello of Texas; aunts, Dorothy Musal of LeClaire and Peggy Aiello of Centerville, Iowa; and special friend, Emmie Simmons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Coons.
